1.Drawing And Craft Exhibition:
In very few years of its inception N.J. Urdu School held its 1st Drawing and Craft exhibition which was inaugurated by the then Deputy Mayor Of Mira Road Mrs. Saiyed Noorjahan Nazar Hussain and was attended by all parents and representatives of many other schools and was a huge success.
2.Educational Activities:
In every academic year the school plans and holds many educational activities like Poetry Recitation, Story Telling, Handwriting, Drawing and other competitions at various levels for example: Poetry Recitation and Story Telling for K.G and Primary. For Secondary Handwriting, Debates and Elocution competitions. This has helped students in improving thinking and speaking skill and sharpening their mental abilities.
3.Physical Activities/Competitions:
The School holds other Fun Activities like Fun and Fare, in which students plan and play games, cook and have fun.
School Students Have Always Participated in Various Marathons, Cyclothons, Cricket, Football and other such competitions held by various Local Bodies/Schools.
Mehendi Competitions: School had held Mehendi competition and students who won were given prizes.
4.Social Activities:
The school holds social activities such as Tree plantation:
Considering the falling ecological condition and depleting number of trees in our cities N.J. students every year plant hundreds of saplings (plants) in and around Mira Road.
Independence Day celebration.
5.Inter School Competition:
Many of our students have participated and won in writing, speaking, drawing and craft competition held by other schools and brought back winning trophies and certificates.On the inter-school level our school students participated in Elocution competition held at A. K. I. High school at Nalasopara and Municipal school at Virar. Our artist students participated in drawing competition in Shanti Nagar High School at Mira Road and other local N.G.O. The Science Exhibition held at Banegar College Mira Road and bagged the prizes.
6.Tree plantation:
In a major were the local congress office planed planting of tree in around mira road and our students participated.
7.Free health checkups:
The Umrao Hospital (now called Wockhardt Hospital) held in N.J. a medical camp providing free mothers and students checkups in which students and mothers were diagnosed with various deficiencies and given basic supplements, medicines and advice.
9.Patriotic Activities:
Students participate every year in the celebration of 15th August and 26th January parade, flag hosting speeches and they also attend local independence day programmes and rallies.
10.Career Guidance:-
Career planning guidance lectures are held every year in N.J School for higher class students. School has also initiated lectures on writing and understanding question paper before final exams, especially for the S.S.C students in subjects like URDU, MARATHI, ENGLISH, ALGEBRA, GEOMETRY, and HISTORY CIVICS & SCIENCE.
For example:
I.MR. ABU BAKER NAGORI: Ex H.M BMC School Algebra & Geometry.
II.MR. NAFEES AHMED: Assistant teacher in Jogeshwari : Millat School, Science.
III. JAWWAD : Shibli Nomai school. Social Science
The students of STD Xth always attend career guidance lectures organized by the “KAWISH TEAM AT SHAN MUKUNANAD HALL” at Sion.
11.Religious , Social and other activities:
Every year we arrange “EID-MILLAN PARTY” of students .Children come in beautiful Eid dresses ,eat and have fun.
N.J school also holds religious lectures related to personal hygiene of girls and boys in which people from certain local Organizations come and speak on various aspects of physical, mental and spiritual cleanliness and improvement.
Also considering the disappointing and dangerous misconceptions in the community about various laws with regard to country and state we have held lectures by special speakers under strict vigilance and approval of the Principal Saiyed Nigar Sultana who holds a Law degree also, to inculcate better understanding of laws and their implementations and if not adhered to properly what will be their implications.
12.Cleanliness Drive:
Students go in around local area on cleanliness drives, they carry play cards and banners to inform the people about how to keep our surroundings clean which will also keep major illness away.
13.Educational and Recreational Trips:
School every year plans and organizes school picnics and trips to various spots where students can learn new things and also enjoy.
i) Nehru Planetarium.
ii) Yusuf Maherally center and Go Green Nursery.
iii) Parle –G Factory and Mahananda Dairy.
iv) Keshav Shrushti , whereAgriculture and tree plantation knowledge is provided to students.
v) Mandvi Resort and Shimla milk center Virar.
14.To inculcate the teachings of our beloved PROPHET MOHAMMAD (SAW), this year a full week’s programe was held in the school. Children recited Naaths, Hamds and Nasheeds and a Speech competition was held the topic of which was The Beautiful Character of our beloved PROPHET MOHAMMAD (SAW). Children who won were given prizes.
15.Sport Day:
Sport day is a major three days event in N.J. School. We take all our students to the big ground in N.H School and hold various competitions.

All events and various rounds are held over a period two days at the end of which winners are selected and prizes are distributed.
16.On 14th Feb 2018 the student took participated in a local event “TARE ZAMIN PER” organized by the Congress party of Mira Road. Children were given certificates and prizes.
17.Every year a “Farewell party” is arranged for standard Xth students.
18. On 14th November every year Children’s day celebrations are held in the school.
19.Establishment of a A.V Room:
Last year in 2017 the school received most latest audio visual projector with the help of which teaching has become fun real and a virtual experience for the students of all ages.
N.J. School is now 16 years old and has grown every year and 7 batches of S.S.C students have passed with 100% results.
Our CLASS ROOMS are big, clean, airy and well lit. All teachers are well qualified and trained and they are guided time and again by the Principal and supported and well provided by the school management led by Saiyed Muzaffar Hussain.
